Writing Practice Page

Alice Williams hace 10 meses actualizado por Francisco José Polo González (Escalation specialist) hace 8 meses 4

Hello,

I’m guessing the answer is no but wanted to check just in case, is there any way to copy a tab (e.g. writing practise in our case) to be able to paste it in multiple other projects?

I have had to make a lot of subtle changes – allowing for different types of commas, length of hyphens, amongst others - and all the combinations that may come with that.

It’s been a huge amount of work so if there is a way to move this over to our other countries instances without doing it all again, that would help immensely.

Hi Alice,

We understand that what you need is to be able to copy and paste components (texts, videos, etc.) from one course to another. If this statement is correct, the answer is yes, it can be done. In order to do this it will be necessary to fulfil a series of requirements:

The courses must be hosted in the same instance (for example: http://directenglish.maker.lc/).

The courses must be opened in tabs of the same browser.

If these two conditions are met you will be able to copy and paste. The process would be as follows:

Select the item to be copied.

Click on the "Copy" button that appears in the component tree of the editor.

Go to the destination course and click on the "Paste" button that appears in the component tree of the editor.

Hi Alice

The answer is yes, you can copy a whole tab and paste it into another project. You just need to follow these steps:

1. Click on Pages, then Manage Pages

2. Select the page you want to copy, then click on Copy

3. Go to the project you want to paste the page into, open it and click on Pages / Manage Pages. Finally paste the page you previously copied

Regards

Hello,

I was asking about the whole tab rather than specific components as per this screenshot - can I copy the entire tab "Language Study and Practise"...

Hello

I have tried to copy the entire page but it does not seem to work. It does work when I copy the individual reinforcement activities but I need it for the full page - should it work in that way?

Regards,

Alice
