netexCloud (Admin) - Import of groups and users to groups using CSV

To access the import from CSV, you should go to "Groups" from "Settings" and click on the "Imports" tab:

If we want to create or edit existing groups from the CSV file, we must click on "Import" and select the option "Import groups":

If we want to add new groups to learningCloud, we can download the "Empty CSV Template" to enter the new records or "Export Groups" to edit the fields of the groups already created:

The header format of the CSV template will be as follows

  • C: Indicates a save/create operation
  • U: A merge will be made with the user's data. Those blank fields will not be modified in the database.
  • D: Deletion operation
  • If an operation other than C, U or D is indicated, an error will occur indicating that the operation is not correct. If no operation is indicated, it will act as if operation C had been indicated.
External IDYesThe key name to be assigned to the group.
NameYesThe descriptive name we want to assign to the group.
DescriptionNoDescriptive text about the functionality of the group.
Parental groupNo (*)(*) In case we want to create a subgroup, we must indicate the "External ID" of the parent group.

Once you have filled in the CSV template, all you have to do is import this file to update the groups on the platform:

Once the file has been successfully validated, we can start the synchronisation process:

 If we want to add or remove users from the groups from the CSV file, we must click on "Import" and select the option "Import relationship of users to groups":

If we want to add new users to the groups, we can download the "Empty CSV Template" to enter the new records or "Export user-group relations" to edit the users of the already created groups:
