The ability to upload documents to the site - sprints and resources

Ebonie Mather 5 months ago updated 3 months ago 4

It has been suggested by a client that it would be great to have the ability to upload documents (pdf, word etc) into the site. For companies that may not have the resources to transfer all their documents into sprints or budget to have eLearninig created documents can add an extra layer of resource to the sprint.

Good morning Ebonie,

First of all, thank you for the suggestion, we've been thinking a while about this, but we are not going to give the ability to upload a file directly into learningCloud, what we are going to do is switch to a platform to distribute our content through it. In the meanwhile what you could do is to upload a pdf, doc, etc to a content management system like dropbox, drive, etc and use the external activity to distribute the link through learningCloud.

Thank you so much again for the feedback.

Hi Ebonie,

This is something we're asked by every client and in most product demonstrations. Being unable to load printable resources (e.g. a pdf summarizing key points from a Sprint) is a problem.

We do sometimes create an entire xAPI activity just to host the pdf file but that's not a valid workaround for an end-user quickly creating their own sprints.

Any progress on this would be fantastic. Even by allow uploads into Nuexo and then adding to a sprint

Thanks,

Eoin

Hey!

I completely understand, at the moment it's been excluded from development as a learning cloud functionality however Nuexeo with Learning Maker might change this. As soon as i have more information I will let you know.
