Use "ñ" on behalf of username and e-mail
Hello,
The client has users with the letter "ñ" in their email. We have transmitted the following recommendations:
The registration form does not actually allow this character (ñ), either in the user's name or in their email. The options are:
a) Use an alternative email for registration on the platform
b) Check if the domain can also be registered but with n and have it redirected to the main one (with ñ). This is the recommendation of the Google expert: https://support.google.com/mail/thread/13290908?hl=es
There is a Microsoft page that advises against this practice (https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/es-ES/bf6c6a16-295e-4c22-b311-25d006ae64e3/envo-de-correos-a-cuentas-con-?forum=winformses)
We have also done a test with the mail at: http://www.comprobarcorreo.com/ and it tells us that the account "info@cualquiercosaconeñe.es" does not seem valid.
However, the customer suggests if we can make the following change from Netex: "If it is for shipping, would it be possible to 'translate' the email to punycode and store it like this to see if it works this way? The result would be "info@xn--cualquiercosaconee-9qb.es".
I look forward to your comments,
Ricardo

Hola Ricardo,

Hello Ricardo,
We are pleased to inform you that this possibility already exists in netexCloud.
If we configure the custom server, checking the box for extended ASCII, it will work without problem.
This functionality is not activated for the standard server for international compatibility reasons.
We recommend you from netexCloud to use the custom configuration of the mail server.
Greetings
